One more thing to announce - Bali in November for 12 days. So looking forward to getting away again... sitting in the plane... being with great company... cheap food & booze... lots and lots of nature... stress-free!
Hipppppppy.

Good night little lamb!
Tonight I'm making an effort to sleep early... Hopefully by 1am, my laptop will be having his beauty sleep too. Let's try... Usually I'd toss and turn for hours, my bodyclock seems to be somewhere else!
Dear Syn was back and she's gone by now, she celebrated my birthday with me like I did with hers. I love my friends:) Anyway I have introduced Cyn (my ex-colleague) to her, and we all hit it off pretty well. I like small and intimate birthday celebration, not a huge party with dozens of people to entertain... or perhaps I'm feeling a little "older" and those aren't my things anymore?! Or am I just someone who prefer intimacy, privacy.. Quality over quantity is often the best. I also met up with another close friend of mine whom made me a Tiramisu cake and gave me a snowglobe (she knows I'm always collecting them!).
Surprisingly... I received a lot of greetings this year, partly because it's being announced on FB and the calendar is reminding everyone!! But I have also gotten SMS greetings from people whom I didn't expect, my ex-supervisor, my ex-ex-supervisor, my ex-boss... an old friend, a few good friends!! Some came through private messages. And thankfully those whom should forget have forgotten too!

Spree-ing
Some things you only need to try it once...
A friend introduced me to a quick and easy way of shopping without stepping out of the house, without taking a train, squeezing with the crowd... and sadly, also without trying it in the fitting room. That's online spree-ing. It's a form of online shopping where someone organises a mass purchase, consolidates everyone's orders and then does the shopping. She in turn collects a fee and of course earns from the bulk purchase discount or the "slightly worse" exchange rate for her effort.
So... I was tempted. Of course (right?), since I'm also a woman. My first online shopping (clothes) started when a friend decided to buy Victoria Secrets online. She needed to reach a certain quota to get the free shipping by Vpost, so I joined in. The dress arrived and turned out pretty OK, but I thought it was a little big (since it's American size). It didn't worth to be sent back as I'd have to fork out the shipping fee, so I decided to keep it since it wasn't too far off. Ahhh, it reminds me that I have also shopped online with Pea on ASOS and it actually turned out very pleasant, still loving those shoes I bought (not sure about buying clothes tho'!).
Out of curiosity and temptation, I decided to try out a local spree community in LiveJournal. It was end August, and guess what?? It's already October and the stuff I ordered have only just arrived in Singapore! I haven't gotten them but should reach me by next week. To be honest, it turned out quite badly. Firstly, I ended up having to pay much more than I thought (topping up more for shipping fee, handling fee and postage). Secondly, I didn't get to try the item (the last item I got through tagging along a friend's spree was again a little loose). Thirdly, the item I wanted ended up OOS (Out of Stock) and I was utterly disappointed, having to wait for weeks and only to have that little bubble burst.
So I conclude that I'll be better off shopping in the shops, in the street, squeezing among the crowd, being physically there to try the clothes, and of course be happy with the price I'm paying...
No more spree-ing for me, thank you Lord!
