Craving to bake is back

Besides Tiramisu, this is our 2nd italian dessert creation... pretty happy with it. Simple, tasty and doesn't cost a bomb to make - Meringues!

Caution: For people with sweet tooth.
(We already reduced the sugar by about 25%, and it's still sweet as ever!)

Pictures tell a thousand words, and I'm feeling a little creative with Photoshop... so here's a comic strip!

Officially unemployed & proud of it :)

Another phase of my life has ended...

How many life "reboots" must I have? Maybe "reformatting" is a better word?? Geez, I'm feeling so geeky!

I just can't wait to have another change, monotonousness is death for me. When life becomes routine, it is a chore. I'm such a restless soul sometimes I wonder who can ever keep up with me. I need to do things, I need variety, I like fresh starts (I hate endings - irony, how do I have a new start without having an ending?? Right?)...

In a week's time, I'm going for a HOLIDAY!!!!!!!!!!! Yeah! Another new travel buddy, another new experience... This time, we are not flying budget!!! Jetstar has disappointed me a few times with their lack of hot food onboard, and now I rather pay a little more to have my stomach satisfied than starving on the flight! This time round, someone is going to serve hot food and free drinks!!

I have so much I want to blog that I can't think of them all now... So I'll slowly fill them in. Finally kicked myself in the bum and logged in to start writing, I hate procrastinating but (you know) you always have someone or something to put the blame on!!

My now ex-colleague just told me about the scam, the fortune-teller at Bugis temple apparently has cheated so many people (besides us). Well, it seems like something is true - the fact that we were so down on luck that we were even being conned!! But the good thing is that we never heed a word he said (luckily, I knew he was only bullshitting). Like I said, pay for sins! He'll soon have to pay his soon.

Tequila night

I was mentioning how much I hate Tequila without realizing Margaritas are actually Tequila-based cocktails!

A dinner at Iguana Cafe accompanied by lots of alcohol... to bid Cyn goodbye and soon, me. The mexican food are actually surprisingly good, though I have heard some "average" comments about them. Guess some it's just not to some people's taste buds... e.g. my sister's! One of our colleagues had also refused to order, he looked at the menu and said nothing there is for him. I was alarmed, shouldn't he just try??? Another colleague casually commented,"If you didn't try, how did you know you'll not like it?" He didn't give in.... The rest of us had ours and forcefully fed him, in the end he finally ate (sharing it with someone else).

The night was quite fun, the bosses were unusually spontaneous and attempted to get us drunk. I took the wrong move, ordered a Spicy Tequila shot which really made me turned green! Yucks! 100 times more spicy than Tabasco sauce... Ewwww... Don't attempt unless you've a strong stomach!

I came to realise even though I detest Tequila, my love for Margarita remains :)

Belated but... better late than never!

懒猪回来了!!

I'm back, feeling a little guilty... because I haven't been writing even though I wanted to. I'd love to. Please do it next time - telling it to myself. Stop procrastinating - telling to myself too. Okay, dear Readers, please remind me on my chatbox, I'll be motivated to write... LOL.

Anyway, I really should talk about the last two movies I watched. I wanted to say something, maybe not a proper review, just really personal thoughts. It has been a while now, it's sometimes good to reflect how it made you felt then.

1. Sex & The City - the movie men wouldn't want to watch voluntarily (unless forced by their girlfriend)
Despite the usual plot about these 4 women with their blokes. The hating and loving, crying and laughing... Seeing a strong friendship between them that last a long way till someone's 50th birthday... just like what I have with the girls even though now we are all far apart. And the things women would gossip about... (guess the men wouldn't know since they would not even want to watch it!) It did upset me the movie... my movie companion was weeping at the scene Mr. Big chickened out on the wedding... she kept repeating,"He's a jerk. JERK!" I hate to see this but somehow it is a reality some men just can't commit. They can't get their balls up to step into the church and yes it hurts to know that, especially I have also met men like this!

2. Kungfu Panda - the perfect movie for people who appreciate animation/illustration, love a good laugh
It didn't really fascinate me, the thriller. Till I have heard many good recommendations about the movie, I decided to go along with a friend. After a boring or stressful day at work, I guess a light-hearted movie works really well... If you fancy beautifully illustrated animation, witty lines and a somewhat inspirational plot... why not give it a go! I like the idea of Panda being so persistent about Kungfu and how the WuGui master enlightened them to accept Panda... there's also quite a few comical scenes. Nothing is impossible if you believe in yourself;)
