Let it snow, let it snow...

But let me go over, let me go over too...

The sight of Europe covered in white is so beautiful, but unfortunately not at all advantageous for the commuters. With flights cancelled and delayed for days, and the airports transformed into campsites, it doesn't sound at all exciting. Trains broke down, people trapped. Road blocked and cars abandoned. I hope my friend is able to fly back in two weeks' time without any hassle and I am able to make my trip there in a month's time! Snow, how can I not love you and hate you at the same time?

Day 3

Everyday I have been in touch with my team up in Aberdeen. Today one of them told me there was a mini snow storm in the morning after he got in to work, I was envious. But I didn't think they liked the snow much as it caused so much trouble to commute to work. Suddenly I wanted to be there too! I thought they were more jealous of the weather we're having here, but I'm snow deprived... especially when it's going to be Christmas soon. Still crossing my fingers for a trip to see the team in near future :)

It's freezing but not snowing :(

It started drizzling... not long after that blaring sun was forcing its way through the blind. Her (why female, cos' in german it's DIE SONNE) sunlight was too much on my eyes and I lost my concentration. The weather has become very unpredictable (as my life is too), it suddenly changes in the next minute. It was so sunny 15 minutes ago, nobody would have expected the whole sky to turn grey and like a mist it covered the once so beautiful skyline.

Feeling a little cold, I went on to make myself a cup of nice hot tea. Standing by the window watching the rain falling so quickly, I almost thought I saw snow. The drizzle looked so alike, like those snowflakes making its way down... Very quickly, very finely, I wish they were snow! It got heavier and heavier and I realised these wet water droplets would never be snow in Singapore. Where can I once again feel that numbness and pain - from building a snowman, from having a snow fight...

I feel lucky

I had the chance to spend a little afternoon in an open farm in England... how nice is that? I get to feed the animals, snapped some pictures, laughed at myself throwing the food onto the poor animals... having my hands licked when they nibbled the bits from my palm. Oh lovely...

It was snowing heavily after I arrived shortly in Doncaster... Walking among the falling snow didn't make me cold, instead it has given me such a warm fuzzy feeling inside which makes me missing it all the time. The first time it really snowed like pouring rain, and I am walking in the snow shower... Can't stop smiling;)

For once in the UK (besides all the travelling I did alone or with tour), I am beginning to enjoy it here.

No better time than this!

My happiest, happiest, happiest.... day in London was yesterday till today. It was the best moment in 2006, so far none of the days this year has really been meaningful, only sad most of the part. But the last 24 hours round the clock, I found myself always smiling in good company, something I never have expected and am really glad to have it. A brief 24 hours has really a strong impact on my life... For the first time ever, I witnessed snow in London, and it happened twice during this day, I felt very lucky and really excited like a kid. I looked at the falling snow, counted my blessing... I have good companionship bundled with good sense of humour, lots of food, self-pampering bath plus facial mask treatment from LUSH and an amazingly pleasant time, except for the part that first time wearing my new boots is such a torture. I can't thank enough for blessing me with a happy ending towards the end of my stay in London :))))

A 'White''' X-m-a-s

Imagine the beautiful white snow falling outside the window... you watch as the flakes drift about in the air before it lands on the warm ground and melts away... They seem like little insects flying all over, but they gave your skin such a tickle that you will shiver with its tenderness. You hold out your hands hoping to collect enough for a little snowball, those little flakes quickly condense with your warmth and quickly enough you are infested with his coldness. As your hands fondle the white snow laying all over, they are soon stinging from the numbness. Your poor fingers feel like they will break apart from that tightness, yet your little fanaticism has kept you going... and going.... and

... daaaa.....ng...

Guess what...

It snowed today... just after I was complaining in the last entry. It is not the first encounter with snow, but this time it wasn't brief. Not just a minute nor just a passing moment. It was snowing exactly for some time. It is beautiful!!

Fortunately, we have a small balcony where I can always dash out for a shower in the flakes. For a lot of people in Singapore whom have not encountered snow, they are little "ice flakes". Remember those nice snowflake "design" you always encounter as a christmas font or an ornament, just like the one I show below... If you carefully examine one that falls on you, you can see that it looks exactly like it. How magical*********************

It is snowing, it is snowing, it is snowing, it is snowing... hurrrayyyyyyyy.... YES,YES,YES!!! Wooooweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.....

Germany - tanzen in dem Schnee!!!

I get drunk with rum balls!

Stone like a frozen chicken out in the chilly weather; cold enough to make snow falls... can I say I love this weather? I don't know. The first sight of white amazed me, waking up one morning, peering out of the window, there they were - all covered in white. It wasn't snowing, it did and I didn't get to see them :( (in the middle of the night)...

It was raining, wind blowing into your face - piercing cold. I was struggling to keep my head in the hood, fighting the way into the shelter when the rain didn't seem like pouring anymore. Floating. Drifting. Oh, its snowing!! I was thrilled, jumping like a little kid, twirling under the snow. It lasted for a minute and it turned water again...
