BBQ korean style
My buddy was craving for Korean BBQ, and so I did a little research and found a little gem along Amoy Street. Well I think it's pretty good for the first time I'm having a Korean BBQ. I read some reviews on it that its an authentic Korean restaurant owned and food prepared by Koreans. I can't remember exactly what we ate! There was a seafood pancake, a tofu soup, Red Pig meat and beef for the BBQ, with the order we also were served 6 side sides (tofu, egg, kimchi and some cold salad). We also had lettuces and sauce to wrap the BBQ meat with, now this reminds me of the Vietnamese BBQ I had!! We had to have the Red Pig meat because the restaurant is named Red Pig too, so it must be some signature dish! LOL. Anyhow, the bill came up to over $90 for 3 and we were pretty stuffed. So I guess it's not that a bad deal really...

Sizzling BBQ
Anyway, we decided on this Korean place, Fresh Bulgoggi which is halal (read that it's similar to Seoul Garden where they also have this steamboat/BBQ). The service was really slow, probably because we went at its peak hours... either that or we have sat at the far corner and was left kinda neglected. LOL.
The fortunate thing is they have this computerised system, we can order food, ask for waiter's attention or even request for bill. So I had my finger clicking all the time... When we were half way through our meal, a couple sat besides us and they got the full service (waitress/waiter serving without laying a finger on the mouse)... Oh well, I guess blame it on the timing... they came at a time when half the restaurant was empty.I would recommend it if you need a halal Korean restaurant, otherwise I think there's more authentic places around. We had this basic BBQ/steamboat set for 2 and it filled us up, we didn't manage to finish the whole lot of vegetables though. Price is quite affordable too.
My verdict: 6/10 (after -0.5 for slow service)
p.s: Just as I was searching for a more authentic place, came across Maru Korean BBQ, quite pricey but looks a lot better!

Instilling, how can it not be
Benson said I'm quiet in my testi [testimonial]. Its becoming a very common word being used to describe me. I guess I'm not too bothered by that. I'm in my own shell, hiding. He also made a comment that I have a "china doll" face. I stared at the mirror for few minutes, failed to see myself as one. I saw reddish cheeks, love my eyes, everything else seem to fall in place. So that's that.
Alex told me I should be truly rebellious, set myself away from typical Asians. Yes, part of me wants to do that, it is growing stronger every hour. There is an inflammable fluid flowing in my blood, its waiting to be ignited. And when that happens there will not be a quiet Trixy any longer. I'm suppressing this surging energy, there'll be an appropriate time for my reformation!!
Amelie from Montmartre. It was on Arts Central 2200 tonight. My third time watching this, it never gets any boring. The first time I saw on a VCD was bits and pieces of it. The second time, it was an uncensored version on the plane to london! And tonight, it again taught me something new. I felt like Amelie when she was helplessly shying herself away from this man she loved. I have overcame that. I began to see my bravery when it comes to expressing my interest in someone I like... yeh, I wish love is as easy to find just around a photo booth~~~
