My 3rd uncle

My mum has a huge family, with 6 brothers and 5 sisters. Its Chinese New Year again, a rare time to see many of them get together.

My 3rd uncle, someone I always find him isolated; in a way, I pity him sometimes I don't know why. Maybe it's because he's divorced, unemployed, and living alone. I wonder if he enjoys his bachelor life. He has 2 daughters, now whom are living by themselves, I'm doubtful they have a close relationship. His wife doesn't speak to him anymore, but they do come by for the new year reunion (probably at different timing). He was telling my mum about migrating to Australia... My mum as usual so bad in her geography, began to speak of me leaving for London. Oh!! So she already got my hint, is she taking it serious now!! My mum thinks all these western countries are united, or maybe about the same. I was explaining to her the locations, never much mention about my own intention. My uncle did agree it's a wonderful idea, he has the perception we can do much better outside Singapore. I'm not convinced myself, but yes, in Singapore a paper qualification counts more than anything else.

In the train, I was witnessing an old man screaming, shouting and swearing at her wife. A boorish couple. I detest it a lot when a man is disrespectful to a woman, especially his wife! He totally sounded like a dork doing that in the public, making a scene.
