How come can forget?

I am very surprised I didn't write about Phantom of the Opera which I watched for the 2nd time in Singapore. First one was back in London. Wondering what was I so pre-occupied with then... but still memory remains fondly of the one I had in London. Not to say that Singapore's wasn't anything impressive, it was still a good show. I enjoyed good company, with champagne and got Phantom bear as a souvenir - it was all good.

Pardon my singlish title which I really feel like once in a while!

Hmmmmmm.................

For the opening show tonight, it wasn't as good as I expected. Or did I raise it a little too high?

Personally, I think the performance is 3.5 out of 5... but I'll give 4 to their acrobatic dance which I really like! A lot of well-dressed people and well, a true-blue French musical (in french!).

It's a little difficult trying to read those English/Mandarin subtitles, after a while, you just want to forget about the screen and concentrate on every little thing that is happening on stage!! A very complex love story between Quasimodo (main cast), Frollo, Phoebus and Esmeralda, with narrator, Gringoire. I was expecting more from Gringoire, but Frollo seemed to stand out among them, I think he did much better job. Actually so did Esmeralda.

Despite I'm not a big fan of the language (French), I'm always open to watching musicals. Keen to watch the first French musical in Singapore, click here for Notre Dame de Paris.

I have been a fan of its music since I was 14?? I fell in love with that drama I could see through them - imagine I had them in casette. 17.09.05 Angela and me each bought a £30 ticket for the MUSICAL in London Her Majesty theatre. It wasn't a great seat for that price but I couldn't afford to miss it. Wonderful cast, impressive props, good setting, enchanting music... It has already prepossessed me. I say I love it!
