I ended my fruitful day with a movie and it is now almost bedtime. I just finished The Karate Kid, casting Jackie Chan and Will Smith's son, Jaden Smith.
Jaden played 12-year-old Dre with attitude and whom got bullied at school because of his feelings for a Chinese classmate, Meiying. The review on IMDb isn't impressive, in fact, people don't like it because there is an older and better movie and maybe the casts too. I haven't seen it that way but recently I don't like to judge things by comparisons. Sometimes I prefer to look at something afresh, take things in a new perspective. I do like how Mr Han (Jackie Chan) built the bond with the kid and how the kid made him proud. The friendship between Dre and the girl was pretty innocent and sweet too. Overall, I think it was not a bad bedtime movie, happy ending works for a good night sleep :)
Not sure how I should rate this, maybe a 3.5/5...
