Der Eisbär

Der Eisbär reminds me of Der Bär. I miss Der Bär.

That's probably why I like this film, not because of the plot, the characters, the wonderful special effects... but because of Iorek Byrnison - the polar bear! I heard much controversy (link) this film has stirred among the religious groups, but well the viewers have themselves to decide about their own view/belief I guess.

Okay, besides the fantastic bear I like, Daemons actually make this film very interesting. Try the test on The Golden Compass website and you get one too! Mine turns out to be a lion, named Olin. Each person has a daemon by their side... what does it really do? What does dust do to the kids' daemon??

I was actually expecting the film to end (silly me) but turns out that it's like LOTR or any other films that comes in series. Oh damn, do I have to wait another year to watch the next one??? Someone told me the book is actually much better than the film, so I might do that instead... but ermm... when it comes to such novels, I can be pretty procrastinating.

I don't know the full story, so you better catch this yourself in the cinema... For the first of its series, The Golden Compass, I simply love the bears' fight and dear Lyra is so witty and adorable.
