A monday has never been this good

For a long time, a Monday hasn't seemed this bright, this cheerful - like the one I had yesterday!

Maybe it is due to the fact that this week I'm officially OFF except two and err... 1/2 to 3/4 working days. A short meeting on Monday morning, however, has brought about a mess to my social life. I've properly planned a wonderful day out on Saturday with my "girlies" to do KTV... BUT just one decision made from the boss, I've to give it a miss! I really do not enjoy how it is affecting my personal life, even the permanent night shift hasn't given me enough breathing space. HELP!!! The initial idea of doing Sunday shift has now shifted to Saturday... so this weekend, I'll be on on a Saturday instead of Sunday, but this is not going to last any longer... Good change is about to come, into my life :)))))))

Secondly, the 'big' first project I am doing is going to launch at midnight today... It's not a major project considering that I had only 4 days to design the page, plan the usability, get the template up, do some javascript... AND at the same time I get thrown with more of other shit to do as well... Very glad though that now everything is almost done except waiting for my colleagues to put up the up-to-date content tonight :)))))))

My 'incompetent' colleague has also showed an improvement in his working attitude and abilities after the confrontation and my 'lecturing' emails. I think I was guiding more than lecturing really. Now, he is able to handle work and not be totally dependent on me, as if I was his 'mama' and a designer assigned to work only on his shit. This is good news, isn't it... I'm happy not only for myself but for the company whom has hired him! :)))

Last night, we had a farewell dinner for my good mate - a bunch of us whom used to play regular beach volleyball. But it has all died down - that passion :(( The good thing is we still catch up once in a while, everyone whom is busy with their "money-earning" lives are once again reunited at the dinner. We had good food at Marche, followed by Ben & Jerry ice cream ;)))))))))

Today is my mummy's birthday, I have my day off from work, also bought a tub of lemon sorbet... mmmm, later we will have a peppermint cake. How nice!!
